#BlogapieGamer | Check Out My Work Comp

Welcome to another #BlogapieGamer, a gaming blog series that chronicles a behind-the-scenes look at my creative career.

#BlogapieGamer | Check Out My Work Comp

Today, I want to show you the work computer my spouse and I purchased.

I bought parts for a work computer from Amazon. I decided to build a powerful work computer the moment I wanted to make videos. My spouse helped purchase parts for this computer as a Christmas gift, and I am still reaping the benefits of it to this very day. One of the best business decisions we ever made.

I can process 1080p video files with ease. This is especially good because I make a lot of one hour music videos for my gaming YouTube channel. Start up is snappy due to my OS being on a Solid State Drive (SSD) and workflow is blazingly fast due to the modern parts and speedy RAM.

I can multitask very well on this machine. I consistently am working with over a dozen tabs open in my Chrome browser, recording audio from an external source, recording gaming footage, while having Word, notepad, and picture editing software open in the background. All at the same time.

I don’t remember all of the specs off the top of my head but I will do my best:

OS: Windows 10

RAM: 32 GB DDR 4

MOTHERBOARD: Msi Z170A SLI Plus

CPU: i7 with a Hyper 212 EVO cooler

SSD A: 240GB for my OS

SSD B: 500GB Crucial brand

HDD: 3TB Western Digital

VIDEO CARD: GTX 1060 6GB

POWER SUPPLY: EVGA 750 Modular

OTHER: I bought a smaller case and built a hobby computer with spare parts, used an older case for my new work computer, and came out with two relatively new computes. Cool!

I would recommend anyone looking into serious gaming or starting a media career to save up and invest in buying a decent computer for editing videos, music, audio, and pictures. It is well worth it.

Thanks for reading and taking a look behind the scenes with me. See you next time!
