Today’s “News You May Have Missed” Celebrates The Fastest Thing Alive With Sonic’s 25th Anniversary Games!

Happy Friday, everyone!

With another week ending, let’s take a look back at yet another cool news feature you may have missed.

The following headlines come from our first issue of Backlog and Bucket List.

Sonic 25th Anniversary: New 2D Sonic Game Announced

Sonic Mania is a retro inspired Sonic game that has a planned released date of Spring 2017 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Don’t fret–Sonic’s cast of playable characters have been whittled down in this new game to the three finest. Sonic Mania will allow you to play as Sonic, his buddy Tails, and his ally Knuckles. Let’s just hope none of this changes by release date. I know I am excited!

Sonics 25th Anniversary: Project Sonic Announced for 2017

A new 3D Sonic game was also announced which reunites the 2D and 3D Sonic variations once more. Still without a title, Project Sonic is supposedly releasing holiday 2017 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and the Nintendo NX. Now all I have to get is some chili dogs for this long wait.

Want a Sneak Peak at Issue 2’s Cover?

Hello, Ladies and Gentle Gamers!

With August coming to an end, that means another issue of Backlog and Bucket List Gaming is just around the corner.

If you haven’t picked up Issue 1 yet, you can do so by clicking on the awesome links at the bottom of this post.

In the mean time, here’s a sneak peak at the color scheme of issue 2’s cover.

You Ready?

You really ready?

Backlog and Bucket List Gaming Issue 2 Cover Sneak Peak

The cool thing about having already put in the work to create the overall cover design is that the composition and parameters of the cover has already been finished. Therefore, all I really had to focus on is changing the color scheme as well as making minor improvements here and there. I was going for a subdued, Summer transitioning into Autumn look to contrast the bright design of the previous issue.

It was a fun cover to design, and I can’t wait to see how I’ll tinker with it in the future.

Thanks for reading, fellow gamers! Backlog and Bucket List Gaming Issue 2 will be available in the coming weeks.
