#BlogapieGamer | Check Out My Steam Controller

Welcome to another #BlogapieGamer, a gaming blog series that chronicles a behind-the-scenes look at my creative career.

#BlogapieGamer | Check Out My Steam Controller

Today, I want to show you the Steam Controller I purchased.

I bought Valve’s Steam Controller from Amazon at just around the time it was released. And I haven’t been disappointed with my purchase.

The build quality is solid and the unit feels comfortable to hold after getting used to the controller’s unique curvature, button placements, and track-pads.

Nice and Steamy

Every game I play on Steam is played with this controller with very few exceptions. I’ve beat the Tomb Raider reboot, Gauntlet reboot, and Mass Effect 1 with this and have put hours into Serous Sam, the Resident Evil franchise, and many indie titles. I love it. The built in gyro combined with the track-pads really feel much better than a traditional controller.

Fun Fact: I shoot arrows, with hybrid motion controls, in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild better due to having played Tomb Raider with gyro and track-pad aiming. It’s prep work, I say, in a good way.

I would recommend the Steam Controller to any gamer interested.

Thanks for reading and taking a look behind the scenes with me. See you next time!
